It was our pleasure to welcome you to the first Porthos Knowledge Sharing Webinar for CCS professionals on 4 November 2025.

Porthos is the first CO₂ transport and storage project within the European Union and represents an important milestone in the development of large-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS). Significant progress has been made in recent years, both on site and behind the scenes. Construction of the CO₂ infrastructure is progressing steadily and preparations for commissioning and start-up are in full swing. We therefore felt that this was the perfect moment to share our experiences to date with fellow CCS professionals. By exchanging insights and lessons learned, we want to contribute to the growth of CCS as a mature, reliable industry – and ultimately to a future with less CO₂.

During the webinar, we shared insights and lessons learned so far in the development, preparation and implementation of the Porthos project. Below are the themes and topics and the Porthos professionals who spoke.
