In an e-hub, companies exchange local power capacity. Shell has space available at the connection at this location, while Linde needs extra capacity to run its compressors optimally. Thanks to the power exchange within the e-hub, Linde can reliably bring the captured CO\u2082 from the Shell refinery to the required pressure and, once Porthos is operational, deliver it to the collection pipeline of the CO\u2082 transport and storage system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A concrete solution<\/strong><br \/>\nThis collaboration demonstrates how industry, grid operators and energy hubs can contribute to realising the CO\u2082 transport chain that Porthos makes possible. The e-hub was made possible in part thanks to network operator Stedin.
