Early Tuesday morning, the final metres of the Porthos offshore pipeline were laid on the North Sea bed.<\/p>\n

Last spring, the offshore pipeline was pulled under the sea wall to land. This pull-in allowed us to start laying the offshore pipeline \u2014 a route of around 20 kilometres across the bottom of the North Sea, from the compressor station on the Maasvlakte to platform P18-a.<\/p>\n

Now that the offshore pipeline has been laid, the next phase begins: trenching, or digging trenches in which the pipeline will be safely buried to ensure long-term protection and reliability.<\/p>\n
