How is Porthos progressing now?
Construction work on Porthos began in the spring of 2024, starting with the first borehole beneath the sea wall. The onshore and offshore pipelines have now been laid and most of the connections have been completed. The gas production wells have been converted into CO₂ injection wells, and the transformation of the former gas production platform into a CO₂ injection platform is in full swing. Construction of the various facilities on the compressor station site is also well advanced.
Porthos is expected to become operational in the second half of 2027 at the earliest.
