Allseas temporarily suspends offshore operations on Porthos project
Allseas, the main contractor for the offshore activities of the Porthos project, has temporarily suspended its operations in the North Sea with its pipelay vessel Lorelay. On Tuesday, May 6, the vessel encountered equipment issues on board.
Following the issues, the pipeline was temporarily abandoned and the ship has relocated to Rotterdam for investigation into the cause of the incident. All personnel on board are safe and unharmed. There is no environmental impact. The impact on the project schedule is currently being assessed.
